HEROES OF FORGIVENESS
Aqeela and Daude Sherills
These two brothers were members of the Crips, one of the two major Los Angeles-based gangs involved the infamous gang wars of the 1980s between the Crips and the Bloods. They were caught up in the vicious cycle of violence and revenge that caused rivers of blood to run in the streets of South Central Los Angeles.
After seeing many of their friends die in gun battles, they decided that the violence must stop and began a historic and determined effort to bring a truce between the two rival gangs.
